Protective Security | Facility Coverage

TSSI, Inc. will provide management, supervision, trained manpower, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide escort and security coverage. Typical assignments for armed and/or unarmed protective security officers include:

  • Fixed Posts – Places where officers are posted for extended periods of time at regular, standard positions i.e., employee and/or visitor entryways, loading docks, parking facilities, exterior gates, information desks, highly sensitive areas, cash locations, retail or common access areas, public transportation areas, etc.
  • Vehicular Patrols – include aspects of the facility/campus that cover large amounts of real estate that are best covered by security officers in patrol vehicles. Such areas include: roadways, parking areas, perimeter patrols, remote areas without access to power and facilities, etc.
  • Foot Patrols – are typically interior positions to deter petty crime, ensure compliance with classified materials handling, notify of potential facility liability issues, to deter auto theft and vandalism. These patrols are often used outside to patrol smaller, well defined areas that the potential for unauthorized access or theft issues.
  • Bicycle Patrols – are one of the most versatile posts available on a program as they can readily be converted to foot or temporary fixed posts, while also having the potential to cover broad areas similar to vehicular patrols. In addition, they have the versatility of accessing more confined spaces than a vehicle patrol and provide a wide range of visibility and deterrence.
  • Command Posts – these are positions where officers are posted to view CCTV camera systems and respond to electronic alarms. Often these positions are rotated on a frequent basis due to monitor fatigue. It is usually where the command and control structure is placed so that the chain of command has access to the most current and relevant information during security incidents.
  • Contractor/Visitor Escorts – In many facilities, visitors and contractors must be escorted throughout their time at the facility. In many cases the security personnel escorts solely to the approved location for their visit, but in others the security personnel is required to remain with the visitor/contractor throughout their time on site.
Protective Security Details
Duty hours for the security escorts will be adjusted to provide the maximum protection against a prevailing threat, considering seasonal changes, political activity, and other variable factors.
